Environmental and Social Management Framework (ESMF)

This ESMF was originally prepared for the Somalia Crisis Recovery Project (SCRP), the parent project in May 2020. Additional Financing (AF) was approved in June 2021. As a provision in the AF ESCP, the ESMF was to be updated within three months of Project Effectiveness and prior to disbursement for activities under the AF. The ESMF should cover both parent project and AF financed activities. Along with the ESMF update, other E&S management instruments and tools including the Stakeholder Engagement Plan, Security Management Plan (SMP) and Resettlement Policy Framework (RPF) have also updated three months after Project Effectiveness.
