Today, the Minister of Finance opened the Recurrent Cost and Reform Financing (RCRF 2) Annual Review Mission which is taking place in Mogadishu, Somalia for the first time. In his opening statement, the Minister thanked the World Bank Multi-Partner Fund and the valuable donors, some of whom were represented, for their continued commitment to Somalia.

The Minister thanked the World Bank for the pre-arrears clearance financing and reiterated the Somali government's absolute commitment to successfully implementing all the reform programs and policies to ensure Somalia attains debt relief so that the government can get access to more concessionary financing for service delivery. Furthermore, the Minister welcomed the scale up of support for both education and health under the RCRF which will benefit the Somali people.
